Service
Proper ongoing maintenance is essential for achieving optimal and reliable performance from your Seakeeper. Because many of the core components are in a sealed enclosure, corrosion and exposure issues are less frequent—but key external systems still need regular attention. According to Seakeeper’s maintenance schedule, service includes:
- Rinse with fresh water after exposure to salt water to prevent corrosion and buildup.
- Annual inspections of cooling circuits (heat exchangers, hoses), the hydraulic systems (manifolds, hoses, brake system), electrical connections, and all mounting hardware.
- Replacement of zinc anodes, inspection & possible replacement of brake bushings, flushing and refilling of hydraulic oil as required, and ensuring seawater flow & cooling are operating as designed. At Everett Yacht Service, our service for Seakeeper units includes the following Seakeeper’s published intervals, using genuine parts, and detailed inspection reporting to you for future repairs.
Repair
Even with proper service, things may occasionally require repair. When that happens, Everett Yacht Service provides:
- Diagnostics of performance issues—excess vibration, fault codes, overheating, unusual noises—and root cause analysis.
- Repair or replacement of brake system components (bushings, accumulators, hydraulic lines) as needed.
- Repair or replacement of cooling system components: heat exchangers, hoses, pumps, and seawater strainers.
- Electrical repairs: checking sensors, wiring, connectors, display units, and control components.
- Corrosion remediation, resealing, or foundation work, to ensure that vibrations or mounting issues do not compromise performance.
We maintain close adherence to Seakeeper standards and factory recommendations so that any repair maintains warranty compliance and long-term reliability.
